About the Artist: Bill Bailey was a career engineer until he
retired and rediscovered his love for painting.
In his 50s, Bailey began traveling and capturing
locations on film - converting the images
into bold, colorful watercolors. He has exhibited
widely throughout the South, winning many
awards including prizes at the annual exhibitions
of the Tennessee Watercolor Society. Resting Place won the Mabel Larsen Collection Award in the most recent (30th) TWS Exhibition. Images of two of his paintings in that exhibition may be seen athttp://www.tnws.org/exhibitions.html. The artist is also winner of the 2007 Best
in Show at the 2007 Memphis/Germantown Art
League Star Artist Show for Lone Fisher, and 4th place winner for Rocks of Ages.
