Condition: Excellent - not examined out of frame.
Biography: Landscape watercolourist and exponent of
gouache who painted views of the west coast
and islands, using a sharp, highly coloured
style. He often painted sheep, children on
beaches, and his views of sands with sea-birds
can be effective. A most prolific painter,
he sold many of his works through the Glasgow
department store, Daly's. - from The Dictionary of Scottish Painters 1600-1960. Exhibited at the Walker Gallery in Liverpool,
Glasgow Institute, and the Royal Scottish
Academy. Lived in Paisley and Glasgow.
