etching, pencil signed l/r, 12.5" x
8.75" plate, 21" x 16.5" frame.
Condition: Very good; not examined out of frame.
Biography: Hedley Fitton was born in Manchester in
1857 and during his early years worked as
an editor and illustrator for the 'Daily
Chronicle'. He later became a prominent etcher
and was well-known for his architectural
subjects with exhibitions at the Royal Academy
and Paris Salon in the early 1900's. He died
aged 72 in 1929.
