About the Artist: Hedley Fitton was born in Manchester in 1857 and during his early years worked as an editor and illustrator for the 'Daily Chronicle'. He later became a prominent etcher and was well-known for his architectural subjects with exhibitions at the Royal Academy and Paris Salon in the early 1900's. He died aged 72 in 1929.
