Note: The previous owner of this work attributed
it to Maurice Man and stated that the sitter
was model Christine Keeler (who had a short
relationship with British politician John
Profumo in 1963 - resulting in the infamous
"Profumo Affair"). It was purchased in British Columbia where
it may have been shown by the artist during
a visit there. Man did visit Canada, but
we can't establish that he was ever in British
Columbia.
