About the Painting: Excellent condition: new frame. Purchased from the artist, this painting was the winner of Best in Show, Memphis/Germantown (Tennessee) Art League c. 1991.
About the Artist: Bill Bailey was a career engineer until he retired and rediscovered his love for painting. In his 50s, Bailey began traveling and capturing locations on film - converting the images into bold, colorful watercolors. He has exhibited widely throughout the South, winning many awards including prizes at the annual exhibitions of the Tennessee Watercolor Society. Resting Place won the Mabel Larsen Collection Award in the 30th Tennessee Watercolor Society Exhibition. The artist is also winner of the 2007 Best in Show at the 2007 Memphis/Germantown Art League Star Artist Show for Lone Fisher, and 4th place winner for Rocks of Ages.
Note: The spacer between the frame and matte has slipped; easy to replace.
